Our vanilla hot chocolate recipe gives the impression of sweetness without any extra sugar.
We pair our smooth, mellow 54% Dark chocolate flakes + vanilla in this quick and easy recipe that can also be used for iced chocolates and milkshakes during the summer.
Ingredients + equipment (makes 1 medium cup):
- 54% Dark hot chocolate flakes
- 200ml of dairy or plant-based milk
- Vanilla paste (high quality Madagascan)
- Your favourite mug
Instructions - to make on the hob or microwave:
Heat 200ml (about one large mug) of milk in a saucepan on the hob, or in a large mug in the microwave. Make sure it doesn’t boil as this will affect the taste.
Add around 8 teaspoons of 54% Dark hot chocolate flakes. You can experiment with the quantity of flakes based on your taste.
Add a quarter of a teaspoon of vanilla paste.
Stir until your flakes have fully melted.
Pour into your favourite mug and enjoy your vanilla hot chocolate.
