Ingredients + equipment (makes 1 medium cup): 

- 70% Extra dark hot chocolate flakes
- 200ml of dairy or plant-based milk
- Cinnamon (ground)
- Cardamom (pods)
- A saucepan
- A hot chocolate bowl or your favourite mug

Instructions - to make on the hob or microwave:

Heat 200ml (about one large mug) of milk in a saucepan on the hob, or in a large mug in the microwave. Make sure it doesn’t boil as this will affect the taste.

Add around 8 teaspoons of 70% Extra dark hot chocolate flakes. You can experiment with the quantity of flakes based on your taste.

Lightly crush 1 teaspoon of cardamom pods and add, along with 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon.

Stir everything together until your flakes have fully melted.

Pour into a hot chocolate bowl or your favourite mug and enjoy your cinnamon + cardamom hot chocolate.
